Description
This lot consists of 80 rounds of .280 Remington centerfire rifle ammunition produced by Remington, contained within four individual boxes of 20 cartridges each. The collection is comprised of two boxes of Remington High Velocity 150-grain pointed soft point Core-Lokt ammunition and two boxes of Remington Core-Lokt Tipped 140-grain ammunition. The 150-grain cartridges are housed in traditional green and yellow packaging with product code R280R1 and include the note that they are suitable for use in 7mm Express Remington firearms. The 140-grain Core-Lokt Tipped cartridges feature green polymer tips designed for enhanced ballistic coefficients and rapid expansion. All cartridges utilize brass cases with headstamps that read R – P 280 REM. Verbatim markings on the packaging identify the contents as 20 Centerfire Cartridges and highlight the Core-Lokt design as the deadliest mushroom in the woods. These factory-loaded rounds are intended for use in rifles chambered for the .280 Remington cartridge, a versatile caliber for medium to large North American game.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in very good overall condition, with the brass cases remaining bright and showing no signs of significant oxidation or corrosion. The projectiles are properly seated and undamaged, with the green polymer tips on the 140-grain rounds intact. The cardboard packaging exhibits moderate shelf wear consistent with age and storage, including scuffing at the edges, surface abrasions, and minor creasing. One of the Core-Lokt Tipped boxes has a handwritten number 1047 in black ink on the front panel. The plastic internal carriers are present and intact. All ammunition appears live and factory-original.
