Description
This Remington Model 870 Wingmaster LH is a pump-action shotgun chambered for 20 gauge shells and specifically configured for left-handed use with the ejection port and action release located on the left side. The firearm features a 28 inch barrel equipped with a ventilated rib and a single front bead sight. The barrel is fixed with a modified choke. Both the receiver and barrel feature a high-polish blued finish, complemented by a chrome-finished bolt. The furniture consists of a walnut stock and forend with a high-gloss finish and fleur-de-lis pattern checkering on the grip surfaces. It is fitted with a brown Remington-branded ventilated rubber recoil pad and a white spacer. Key markings on the left side of the receiver include Remington Wingmaster, MODEL 870 LH, and the serial number S462652X. The barrel is marked 20 GA.* LH. FOR 2 3/4 OR SHORTER SHELLS and MOD. along with the manufacturer information REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC., ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. and PATENT NO’S. 2,645,873 – 2,675,638 – 2,780,881 2,719,375. Proof marks including a circled REP and various inspection stamps are present on the right side of the barrel. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The shotgun is in good used condition. The original polished blued finish shows well with some light handling marks and minor scratches on the receiver and barrel. The chrome bolt shows standard mechanical wear from cycling. The bore is bright and smooth with no visible pitting or corrosion. The pump action functions smoothly and the trigger group appears to operate as intended, though the firearm has not been function-tested with live ammunition. The walnut stock and forend are in good condition with sharp checkering and a high-gloss finish, showing a few minor dings and surface impressions from field use. The rubber recoil pad remains supple.
