Description
This lot consists of 49 rounds of Western .22 Short rimfire ammunition, including both complete cartridges and spherical projectiles, housed in a worn cardboard tray. The collection features cartridges with both brass and nickel-plated cases, every example showing the distinct embossed diamond-shaped headstamp. Two horizontal cartridges on the top layer are fitted with lead round-nose bullets featuring multiple lubrication grooves. The lot is interspersed with spherical projectiles in both lead and copper-coated finishes. Key markings include the diamond-shaped headstamp on each case, which identifies the manufacturer as the Western Cartridge Company. The cardboard tray exhibits significant age-related wear and fraying along its edges.
