Description

This is a Smith & Wesson Model 13-1 double-action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum, configured with a 4-inch heavy barrel and a six-shot fluted cylinder. The firearm features a high-polish nickel finish on the frame, barrel, and cylinder, while the hammer and trigger exhibit distinct case-hardened colors. It is equipped with fixed notch rear sights and a ramp front sight, and is fitted with two-piece checkered wood service grips featuring silver-tone Smith & Wesson medallions. Prominent markings include SMITH & WESSON on the left side of the barrel and S.&W. .357 MAGNUM on the right side. The right side of the frame displays the manufacturer trademark logo and the four-line address block MADE IN U.S.A. / MARCAS REGISTRADAS / SMITH & WESSON / SPRINGFIELD, MASS. The yoke is stamped with the model designation MOD. 13-1 and assembly marks X 5 6 X 5 and 6 T J. The serial number D910790 is clearly stamped on the butt of the frame. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The high-polish nickel finish remains in very good condition, showing only light surface handling marks and minor micro-scratches consistent with careful use. The case-hardened colors on the hammer and trigger are well-preserved and vibrant. The checkered wood grips are in excellent shape with sharp checkering and no significant cracks or losses. The action appears to function correctly with solid lockup and timing. The bore and cylinder chambers are bright with strong rifling, showing only light powder residue and a faint cylinder turn line.
