Description
A pair of professional-grade nickel-plated steel chain link handcuffs manufactured by the Peerless Handcuff Company. These restraints feature a standard swing-through bow design with a double-locking mechanism. The cuffs are joined by a two-link steel chain with swivel attachments at the housing bases. One bow is stamped with the manufacturer information PEERLESS HANDCUFF CO. SPRINGFIELD MA, while the corresponding bow is marked MADE IN USA PATENTED. The lock housing plates are stamped with numeric identifiers 472972 and 2007. The set is accompanied by the original retail cardboard box, which identifies the model as NIJ Type 3 and includes company history noting its establishment in 1914.
Condition report:
The handcuffs are in good used condition with light surface scratches and minor signs of handling consistent with operational use. The retail box shows moderate shelf wear, including rubbing at the edges, creasing, and small tears to the cardboard flaps. Keys and the manual indicated on the box packaging are not present.
