Description
This is a single Mossberg Model 500 pump-action shotgun chambered for .410 bore, specifically the American Field variant. The firearm is equipped with a 24-inch ventilated rib barrel featuring dual bead sights and a fixed full choke, suitable for use with both 2.5-inch and 3-inch shells. The receiver is finished in black anodized aluminum, contrasting with the blued steel of the barrel and magazine tube. It features a gold-plated trigger and a top-mounted tang safety for ambidextrous operation. The furniture consists of checkered wood for the stock and forearm, with the buttstock fitted with a brown ventilated rubber recoil pad. Key markings on the receiver include Mossberg MADE IN USA NORTH HAVEN, CONN. 500® .410 GA. and the serial number T567111. Barrel markings specify MOSSBERG® CHAMBERED FOR 2 1/2 AND 3 IN. SHELLS – .410 BORE – 24 IN. FULL CHOKE-. This shotgun is accompanied by its original factory shipping box which retains a matching serial number label and is dated September 24, 2009. Condition report:
The shotgun is in excellent overall condition, showing virtually no signs of use or wear. The black finish on the receiver is clean and consistent, while the bluing on the barrel and magazine tube remains deep and lustrous with only minor handling marks. The bore is bright and free of any pitting or obstruction. The action appears to function correctly with smooth cycling; however, we have not function-tested this firearm. The checkered wood stock and forearm are in superb condition with crisp checkering and no cracks or significant dings. The brown rubber recoil pad is intact and supple.
