Description
This lot consists of 166 rounds of assorted rifle ammunition featuring various loads in .223 Remington and 5.56x45mm NATO. The collection includes three 20-round boxes of Russian-manufactured Brown Bear .223 Remington ammunition with 55-grain bimetal full metal jacket boat tail bullets and lacquered steel cases. Also included is one 20-round box of Hornady Varmint Express .223 Remington featuring brass cases and orange polymer-tipped V-MAX projectiles. Military-style ammunition is represented by two boxes of IMI Systems 5.56mm M855 ammunition featuring 62-grain green-tipped penetrator bullets and one 20-round box of PMC Ammunition X-TAC 5.56 NATO. A clear plastic bag contains the remaining loose cartridges in a mix of brass and steel cases, including several additional green-tipped projectiles. Verbatim markings on the packaging include Brown Bear .223 Rem 55 Grain Bimetal FMJ Boat Tail Bullet Lacquered Steel Case Non-Corrosive Berdan Primer, Hornady Varmint Express 20 Cartridges, IMI Systems 5.56 mm M855 62 grain FMJ, and PMC Ammunition X-TAC 20 Centerfire Rifle Cartridges. Visible cartridge headstamps include HORNADY 223 REM.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in good, shootable condition with clean brass and intact lacquer on the steel cases. No significant corrosion, oxidation, or setback is observed on the projectiles or cases. The cardboard boxes exhibit varying degrees of shelf wear, including scuffing, edge wear, and minor tearing to the flaps of the Brown Bear boxes. All ammunition appears live and factory loaded.
