Description
This is a Glenfield Model 75C semi-automatic rifle chambered for .22 L.R. only, manufactured by the Marlin Firearms Co. It features an 18 inch blued steel barrel equipped with an under-barrel tubular magazine. The receiver is constructed of blued steel and features an integrated rail for optic mounting. The rifle is mounted in a carbine-style smooth wood stock which includes a steel barrel band and factory-installed front and rear sling swivels. The sighting system consists of a ramped front blade and a step-adjustable rear leaf sight. The butt of the stock is finished with a black textured plastic buttplate. Prominent markings on the barrel are transcribed as GLENFIELD MOD. 75C THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. CAL. 22 L.R. ONLY and include a circled JM proof mark at the breech. The serial number 24290332 is clearly stamped on the left side of the receiver. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The firearm exhibits moderate wear consistent with age and field use. The blued finish on the barrel and receiver shows signs of thinning and handling wear, with scattered areas of surface oxidation and light pitting, particularly visible on the bolt and the exterior of the barrel. The wooden stock is in fair to good condition, retaining much of its finish but displaying numerous dings, scuffs, and scratches throughout. The bore was not inspected. The action appears to function correctly, although we have not function-tested this firearm for live fire.
