Description
One Remington Model 700 bolt action rifle chambered in the powerful 7mm Remington Magnum cartridge. This rifle is configured with a blued finish on the receiver and the tapered barrel, paired with a checkered walnut stock featuring a Monte Carlo comb and a pistol grip. The left side of the receiver is marked Remington MODEL 700 and bears the serial number 36017. Verbatim markings on the left side of the barrel include REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC. ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. followed by patent numbers 2,473,373, 2,514,981, 2,585,195, and the caliber designation 7MM REM MAG. The right side of the barrel near the receiver displays several proof marks, including a REP in an oval. The rifle is equipped with a hooded front ramp sight and an adjustable rear sight, while the muzzle is fitted with an aftermarket brake marked HERTER’S PAT. PEND. The wood stock is fitted with sling swivel studs and a black rubber recoil pad embossed with the Remington logo. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal components retain a significant portion of their original blued finish, though there are areas of light surface oxidation and minor finish thinning visible on the barrel and receiver. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The walnut stock is in good condition, showing typical handling marks, small dings, and surface scratches consistent with field use. The action appears to function correctly, although the firearm has not been test-fired. The black rubber recoil pad remains flexible and intact.
