Description
This lot consists of five boxes containing a total of 125 Remington Shur Shot Kleanbore 16-gauge shotgun shells. Designed for use in shotguns with 2 3/4-inch chambers, these skeet loads feature green corrugated paper hulls with low brass bases. Technical specifications printed on the packaging denote a load of 2 1/2 dram equivalent powder charge with 1 ounce of #9 shot. Extensive markings on the green and red boxes include Remington, KLEANBORE, and the OU PONT logo, along with text identifying them as SHUR SHOT SHELLS, SMOKELESS, and WET PROOF. The front and top panels are prominently labeled NEW REMINGTON CRIMP and SKEET LOADS, specifically identifying the contents as SK16-9 EQUIV. 2 1/2-1-9. The side panels provide instructions and manufacturing details, noting the shells were made in U.S.A.
Condition report:
The cardboard boxes exhibit moderate shelf wear consistent with their age, including scuffing along the edges, rounding at the corners, and light surface staining, though the graphics and text remain bright and legible. The shells appear to be in good original condition with clean green paper hulls and bright brass bases showing only minor signs of tarnish. The primers appear undisturbed, and the ammunition is being sold as a collectible item; we have not tested the functionality of these vintage loads.
