Description
This lot comprises a total of 95 .410 gauge shotgun shells from Winchester and Federal. The collection includes one yellow box of Winchester Super-Speed Mark 5 plastic shotgun shells containing 25 rounds of 3-inch, 3/4 oz. #5 shot. Also present are two 25-round boxes of Winchester AA Target Load ammunition; one box contains standard AA shells and the other contains the High Strength-HS Hull variety, both featuring 2-1/2 inch shells with 1/2 oz. of #9 shot. Completing the lot are two boxes of Federal Premium Heavyweight TSS (Tungsten Super Shot) turkey loads, each containing five rounds of 3-inch, 13/16 oz. #9 shot with a muzzle velocity of 1100 FPS. Prominent markings on the Winchester Super-Speed box include Winchester Super-Speed Mark 5, Plastic Shotgun Shells, and SS4135. The Winchester AA boxes are labeled Winchester AA, Target Load, .410 Gauge, 2 1/2 Inches, Max Dr. Eq., 1/2 Oz., and 9 Shot, with individual red plastic shells bearing markings for AA, HS, and 2 1/2 – 1/2 – 9. The Federal boxes are clearly marked Federal Premium Heavyweight TSS, 18g/cc, 3 Inches, 1100 FPS, and PTSS419 9.
Condition report:
The ammunition and packaging are in overall good condition, appearing to be live, factory-loaded rounds. The yellow Winchester Super-Speed box exhibits significant shelf wear, including pronounced yellowing, edge fraying, and some minor staining. The Winchester AA boxes show moderate shelf wear and scuffing to the exterior surfaces. The Federal TSS boxes appear in very good condition with minimal handling marks. The individual shells feature red plastic hulls and brass-colored bases; several bases show light tarnish or surface oxidation consistent with age and storage conditions, while the hulls remain intact and the primers are unfired.
