Description
This set consists of a pair of Peerless Handcuff Company Model 700 nickel-plated steel chain link handcuffs, two original keys, and the manufacturer packaging. The handcuffs feature a swing-through design and are stamped on the cheek with PEERLESS HANDCUFF CO. SPRINGFIELD MA and the serial number 626748. The two matching steel keys are embossed with PEERLESS HANDCUFF on the circular bows and are equipped with double-lock activator pins. The original blue and red cardboard box identifies the set as NIJ Type 3 restraints and retains a retail price sticker of $36.60. The packaging includes text detailing the company history in Springfield, Massachusetts, established in 1914.
Condition report:
The handcuffs and keys show minimal signs of use with a well-preserved nickel finish. The original cardboard box displays moderate shelf wear, including scuffing, minor edge tears, and softening of the corners.
