Description
This is a modern pump-action sporting rifle manufactured by Henry Repeating Arms, chambered to accept .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle cartridges. The firearm is configured with a 20.5-inch blued octagonal barrel featuring a full-length tubular magazine located underneath. The receiver is finished in a high-polish bluing and is equipped with a grooved top rail currently mounting a compact Osprey optic with protective lens covers. The furniture consists of a smooth American walnut buttstock and a matching grooved pump-action forend for a secure grip. The rifle retains its original iron sights, including a traditional adjustable buckhorn rear sight and a front blade sight. Key markings include the manufacturer and location on the left side of the barrel stamped as HENRY REPEATING ARMS BKLYN NY and the caliber designation on the right side as CALIBERS .22 S/L/LR. The serial number P01977T is transcribed from the lower tang. The butt is finished with a black synthetic checkered buttplate bearing the Henry logo and the 1860 date. Condition report:
The rifle is in very good to excellent condition, retaining nearly all of its original high-polish blued finish with only minor surface marks on the receiver from light handling. The walnut stock and forend are in excellent condition, showing a consistent finish and no significant dings or scratches. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and shows no signs of pitting or corrosion. The action appears to function correctly with a smooth cycling pump and a crisp trigger reset. The Osprey optic displays clear glass and functional adjustment turrets.
