Description
This lot consists of 150 rounds of 5.56x45mm NATO M855 ammunition, featuring 62-grain full metal jacket projectiles with hardened steel penetrator cores, identified by the signature green-painted tips. The cartridges are organized onto metal stripper clips, each holding 10 rounds, and are stored within protective cardboard sleeves. The brass casings are constructed to military specifications and show distinct annealing marks around the neck and shoulder area, a result of the heat-treatment process used to increase reliability and casing longevity. Key markings include the headstamps on the case bases which read LC 02, indicating production at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in 2002. This 5.56 m855 ammunition is manufactured to standard military specifications for use in firearms chambered for the 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge.
