Description
This lot consists of a collection of 76 .22 caliber rimfire ammunition cartridges manufactured by Federal, including both the Classic and Game-Shok product lines. The cartridges are housed in two partial original cardboard boxes and organized within two plastic trays, one white and one red. The collection includes standard .22 caliber cartridges with brass cases and lead projectiles, as well as two crimped blank cartridges and one heavily oxidized component. Verbatim markings transcribed from the packaging include FEDERAL Classic .22 CAL CARTRIDGES, 50 RIMFIRE CARTRIDGES/CARTOUCHES, FEDERAL AMMUNITION GAME-SHOK, and 50 RIMFIRE CARTRIDGES CARTOUCHES. The cartridges feature the manufacturer’s trademark capital letter F headstamp stamped on the base of the brass cases. The ammunition is sold as a lot, likely representing older retail stock.
Condition report:
The ammunition exhibits signs of age-related surface tarnish and oxidation on the brass cases and lead projectiles. One item in the white tray shows severe rust-colored corrosion. The original cardboard boxes show shelf wear, including edge fraying, minor tears, and surface soiling, though they remain structurally intact. The plastic trays are in good condition with no visible cracks. This vintage ammunition has not been tested for reliability or performance, and its functionality cannot be guaranteed.
