Description
This set of professional-grade chain link handcuffs is manufactured by the Peerless Handcuff Company of West Springfield, Massachusetts. The restraints are constructed from nickel-plated steel and feature the classic swing-through design for rapid application. The cuffs are connected by a two-link chain and a swivel joint. Several stamped markings are visible on the steel surface. One side is stamped PEERLESS HANDCUFF CO. SPRINGFIELD MA, while the opposite side is stamped MADE IN USA PATENTED. One cuff is stamped with the model number 700C near the keyhole, and the other is stamped with the serial number 472972. The original blue and red cardboard retail packaging is included, which indicates the contents consist of one set of NIJ Type 3 Chain Link Handcuffs, two keys, and a manual. Peerless Handcuff Company was established in 1914 and is a primary supplier of restraints for law enforcement agencies.
Condition report:
The handcuffs are in very good condition with minor surface handling marks and light scratches consistent with storage or light use. The nickel plating is well-preserved. The original cardboard box shows moderate shelf wear, including rubbing and color loss at the edges and corners, as well as a small tear on the top hanging tab.
