Description
A United States military PA-70 ammunition storage container manufactured by S.C.C. The unit is constructed of heavy-gauge steel with a standard olive drab green finish. It features a fully removable hinged lid with a recessed folding metal handle and a heavy-duty side-latching mechanism. The front face of the can is stenciled with white markings for 8 cartridges of 60mm High Explosive (HE) M888 mortar rounds with PD M935 fuzes, designated for the M224 mortar system. Stenciled data includes National Stock Number 1310-01-149-3185-B643 and Lot Number MA-88D038-002 A, with the date code indicating a 1988 production. The lower side of the body is embossed with CONT. PA-70 and S.C.C.

Condition report:
This item is in field-service condition with visible surface wear. There are scuffs, scratches, and various areas of paint loss throughout the exterior. Minor surface oxidation and rust are present along the bottom edges, seams, and on the embossed lettering. All stenciled information remains legible. The latching mechanism and handle remain in working order.
