Description
This lot consists of a collection of 200 rounds of .38 Special centerfire ammunition divided among four commercial boxes. The collection includes one box of Fiocchi Pistol Shooting Dynamics containing 50 cartridges with 130 grain full metal jacket bullets and brass cases headstamped G.F.L. 38 SPECIAL. A Peters Kleanbore Priming box contains 50 cartridges featuring mixed headstamps including P, REM-UMC, FEDERAL, R-P, and WESTERN, with lead round nose bullets in both nickel-plated and brass cases. A Federal American Eagle box contains 50 cartridges with mixed headstamps including FEDERAL, WINCHESTER, and R-P, all featuring lead round nose bullets and brass cases. The final box, manufactured by Aguila, contains 50 cartridges with 130 grain full metal jacket bullets and brass cases headstamped AGUILA 38 SPL. The presence of mixed headstamps in the Peters and American Eagle boxes indicates that these contain non-original or re-boxed ammunition.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in generally good condition, with some cartridges exhibiting minor tarnish and oxidation to the brass and nickel cases and lead bullet surfaces. The cardboard boxes show moderate to significant shelf wear, characterized by tearing, tape residue, scuffs, and handwritten notations.
