Description
This Marlin Model 60 is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle, featuring a 22-inch Micro-Groove barrel and a full-length under-barrel tubular magazine. The rifle is equipped with a black-finished alloy receiver that includes an integrated groove for mounting optics, a ramped front sight, and an adjustable rear leaf sight. The firearm is mounted in a one-piece wood stock with a semi-pistol grip and a black plastic buttplate. Prominent markings on the barrel include THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN, CT. U.S.A. and MODEL 60 MICRO-GROOVE BARREL CAL. 22 L.R. ONLY, along with a JM proof mark located near the receiver. The serial number 17366978 is stamped on the left side of the receiver. The rifle shows evidence of a significant repair to a crack at the wrist of the stock. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on the barrel and magazine tube shows widespread thinning, handling scratches, and patches of light surface oxidation. The receiver finish displays edge wear and scattered scuffs. The wood stock is in fair condition with numerous dings, scratches, and a prominent repaired crack at the wrist that appears stabilized but remains visible. The bore is bright with well-defined rifling. The action appears to function correctly when cycled by hand, though the firearm has not been function-tested with live ammunition.
