Description
This lot consists of 135 live rounds of .30 Carbine ammunition featuring 110-grain full metal jacket projectiles, organized within three plastic storage cases including two blue containers and one gray Midway-branded box. The collection comprises a variety of brass-cased ammunition from both military and commercial sources. Notable headstamp markings transcribed from the collection include L C 5 2 and L C 5 3 from the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, F C 30 CARBINE from Federal Cartridge, W-W 30 CARBINE from Winchester-Western, P C 5 2 from the Peters Cartridge Company, and R A 5 2 from Remington Arms. The projectiles are copper-jacketed round-nose bullets consistent with standard military and sporting specifications for the M1 Carbine. The blue boxes include handwritten markings on the lids indicating caliber and bullet weight.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in good condition overall, appearing to be live and functional. The brass cases show typical age-related patina and minor surface oxidation in some instances, particularly on the older military surplus rounds. The copper jackets on the bullets are clean with no significant corrosion or deformation. The primers are intact and seated correctly. The plastic storage boxes are functional with minor storage wear and scuffing. We have not function-tested this ammunition.
