Description
This Springfield Armory XD-40 Sub-Compact is a striker-fired semi-automatic pistol chambered in .40 S&W, intended for concealed carry and personal defense. It features a 3-inch barrel and a black steel slide with rear cocking serrations for easier manipulation. The pistol is constructed with a black polymer frame featuring an integrated textured grip, a grip safety, a trigger safety, and an accessory rail for mounting lights or lasers. It comes equipped with fixed three-dot white sights and includes two stainless steel magazines. Key markings include the model designation XD-40 and SUB-COMPACT on the left side of the slide, while the right side is marked SPRINGFIELD ARMORY U.S.A. followed by the serial number XD306207. The barrel hood is stamped with the caliber designation .40 SW and the serial number XD306207, which is also visible on the metal serial number plate on the underside of the frame. The right side of the frame is marked SPRINGFIELD INC. GENESEO, IL. MADE IN CROATIA, and the grip panels bear the SA-XD logo. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol is in good used condition. The black finish on the slide shows minor surface scuffs and light wear along the edges and near the muzzle. The polymer frame is well-maintained with minor handling marks and the grip texturing remains sharp. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The action appears to function correctly, though the firearm has not been function-tested or live-fired. There is some visible surface debris in the slide serrations and around the sights. The two stainless steel magazines show light insertion wear but appear to be in good working order.
