Description
A collection of 5 vintage wooden shotgun forearms of varying styles and periods. The group includes three sporting-style forends featuring checkered grips and integrated metal latch mechanisms, one of which is stamped with the characters C and 1 within the interior wood channel. Also included is a plain, dark-stained wood forend with a weathered finish. The final piece is an ornate, dark-toned forend with metal end caps featuring scrollwork engraving on the tip and an internal metal strap stamped with the digits 2, 4, 7, and 4. These components are primarily constructed of wood with integrated metal hardware.
Condition report:
Condition across the group varies from fair to heavily worn. All items exhibit signs of age and field use, including visible scratches, dings, and a developed patina.
