Description
This Springfield Armory XD-9 Mod.2 is a striker-fired semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm designed for versatile use in both service and personal defense roles. It features a 4-inch barrel and is constructed with a black-finished steel slide on a black polymer frame that incorporates integrated Grip Zone texturing for enhanced control. The pistol is fitted with a high-visibility red fiber optic front sight and a combat-style two-dot rear sight. Ergonomic features include a grip safety, an ambidextrous magazine release, and a front accessory rail for mounting lights or lasers. Verbatim markings on the left side of the slide include XD-9, 4.0, and Mod.2, while the frame is marked MADE IN CROATIA and SPRINGFIELD INC. GENESEO IL. The right side of the slide is marked with the manufacturer name SPRINGFIELD ARMORY U.S.A. and the serial number GM719531 is visible on the slide, the barrel hood, and on a metal plate inset on the underside of the frame. One double-stack magazine with witness holes numbered up to 16 is included. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The firearm is in good used condition. The black slide finish shows minor surface scratches and faint wear at the muzzle and along the high edges consistent with holster use. The polymer frame is well-preserved with crisp texturing and no deep dings or significant abrasions. The barrel shows typical finish thinning on the hood from normal mechanical operation. The action appears to function correctly when cycled manually, and the sights are in good repair with the fiber optic insert intact. The included magazine exhibits minor finish wear and contains white handwritten markings on the body.
