Description
This lot features a pair of wooden handgun display stands produced by Cimarron Firearms Co., specifically designed for the presentation of western-style revolvers and other pistols. Each stand is constructed from solid hardwood with a rectangular base that has been finished with decorative beveled edges. A vertical cylindrical post is mounted into the base and supports a horizontal peg which serves as the primary resting point for a displayed firearm. The upper surface of the base is detailed with the company logo. Verbatim markings include the name CIMARRON within a banner and the text F.A. CO. located above an illustration of a rider on a galloping horse firing a pistol. One of the stands exhibits more extensive wear and darkening on the upright and peg from previous use, while the other remains in a cleaner state with less visible contact wear.
Condition report:
The stands are in good used condition. One stand displays significant surface wear and darkening on the vertical and horizontal wooden supports, consistent with repeated contact with metal firearm parts. The other stand shows minimal wear and retains a more uniform finish. Both hardwood bases show typical light handling marks and minor scratches, including a small dark impact mark or chip on one front-right corner. The laser-etched branding on each stand is crisp and fully legible.
