Description
This lot features 9 small caliber mags in a variety of styles and configurations, suitable for several semi-automatic pistol models. The collection includes five magazines in an upright position and four lying flat, encompassing finishes in blued steel, stainless steel, and cast alloy. Among the blued steel examples is one single-stack magazine with three vertical slot witness windows and a black polymer pinky-extension baseplate, one magazine with circular witness holes and a flat polymer base, and one magazine with a side slot and red follower typically associated with .22 LR caliber firearms. The stainless steel examples include a magazine with three large circular witness holes and an orange follower, alongside a shorter stainless steel magazine with a flat metal floorplate and orange follower. A prominent identified piece in the collection is a blued steel magazine stamped MAB 7.65 on the floorplate toe, indicating its use with 7.65mm or .32 ACP MAB pistols. The grouping is completed by a short cast alloy magazine with a black polymer base, a small blued steel magazine with a flat polymer baseplate, and a blued steel magazine featuring a large oval witness window exposing the internal spring and a curved metal pinky-extension floorplate.
Condition report:
The magazines are in good to very good condition overall, showing signs of light to moderate use. The blued steel magazines exhibit varying degrees of thinning finish, light handling marks, and occasional spots of faint surface oxidation, particularly on the MAB-marked example. The stainless steel and alloy magazine bodies remain clean with only minor surface scratches. All magazine followers and springs appear to function smoothly when manually depressed, although no functional testing with live ammunition or corresponding firearms has been performed. The polymer baseplates and extensions show minimal wear and are structurally intact.
