Description
This is a Winchester Model 1200 pump-action shotgun chambered for 12 gauge 2 3/4-inch shells. It is configured with a 28-inch barrel featuring a ventilated rib and the “WINCHOKE” interchangeable choke system, currently fitted with an “IMP CYL” (Improved Cylinder) choke tube. The metal surfaces display a polished blued finish on the barrel and receiver, while the bolt features a decorative jeweled (engine-turned) finish. The furniture is comprised of a checkered walnut stock and forend, with the forend displaying a distinct diamond-shaped checkering pattern. Sighting is handled by a single silver-colored front bead. A Pachmayr “White Line” rubber recoil pad has been professionally fitted to the buttstock. Verbatim markings on the barrel include: “WINCHESTER ® MODEL 1200—12 GA. 2 3/4 CHAM.”, “MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL”, and “WINCHOKE™”. Oval “PW” Winchester proof marks are stamped on the top of the barrel and the receiver. The serial number L1101306A is clearly stamped on the underside of the receiver. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The shotgun is in very good overall condition. The blued finish on the receiver and barrel remains largely intact with only minor surface scratches and light wear consistent with careful handling. The bore is bright and appears free of pitting or obstruction. The action appears to function correctly, cycling smoothly. The checkered walnut furniture is in very good condition with crisp checkering and only a few minor dings or compressions in the wood. The Pachmayr recoil pad is well-preserved and correctly fitted to the stock.
