Description
This Winchester Model 12 is a classic pump-action shotgun chambered in 12 gauge, configured as a takedown model for ease of transport. The firearm is equipped with a 30 inch barrel featuring a single bead front sight at the muzzle. The metal surfaces exhibit a blued finish that shows significant thinning and wear consistent with age and field use. The furniture consists of a ribbed wooden forend and a plain wooden buttstock, which terminates in a checkered hard rubber buttplate featuring the Winchester Repeating Arms Co. logo. Prominent markings on the barrel include WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL — WINCHESTER — MODEL 12—12 GA FULL alongside a series of patent dates with the latest being JULY 22, 1913. Both the receiver and barrel are stamped with the oval WP Winchester proof mark. The matching serial number 675090 is clearly stamped on the underside of both the receiver and the magazine tube extension, identifying this as a matching-numbers example. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The shotgun is in used condition with a significant portion of the original blued finish worn away, particularly on the high edges of the receiver, the slide, and the magazine tube, where it has thinned to a grey patina. There is scattered surface oxidation and light scratching across the metal components. The bore appears bright. The wooden stocks show typical dings, scratches, and finish loss from handling, but remain structurally sound without visible cracks. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
