Description
This lot comprises twenty rounds of Cor-Bon Hunter High Velocity centerfire rifle ammunition in .458 SOCOM caliber. The cartridges feature 405-grain Jacketed Soft Point bullets and are housed within a white foam insert inside the manufacturer’s original cardboard box. Information printed on the packaging indicates the load is rated for a velocity of 1600 fps and energy of 2303 ft-lbs, listed under part number SD458405/20. Verbatim markings found on the cartridge headstamps include 458 at the 12 o’clock position and SOCOM at the 6 o’clock position, with a five-pointed star located at both the 3 and 9 o’clock positions. The ammunition consists of brass casings with lead-tipped projectiles.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in very good, live condition. The brass casings show minor surface tarnish and light handling marks consistent with storage. The lead tips of the projectiles are clean and show no significant oxidation. The original cardboard box shows moderate shelf wear, including scuffing to the finish, creasing, and small tears to the corner edges and tuck-in flaps.
