Description
This is a Thompson/Center Encore single-shot break-action rifle chambered in .22-250 Remington, designed for precision long-range shooting and varmint hunting. The firearm features a blued steel barrel and receiver, mounted in a durable black polymer thumbhole stock with textured grey rubberized inserts on the pistol grip and forend for enhanced handling. It comes equipped with a BSA Optics riflescope featuring a mil-dot reticle and 6-24×40 magnification, mounted to a rail on the receiver. The buttstock is fitted with a black rubber LimbSaver recoil pad. Verbatim markings on the barrel include ENCORE THOMPSON / CENTER ARMS ROCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE 22-250 Rem. and the receiver is stamped with the serial number 51436 on the top rear surface behind the hammer. The scope is marked BSA MIL DOT 6-24X40 on the eyepiece and BSA OPTICS on the turret cap. The LimbSaver recoil pad is marked with the brand name and patent number 5976333. Condition report:
The rifle is in good used condition. The blued steel finish on the barrel and receiver shows minor surface wear, with a few light scratches and faint handling marks. The polymer stock is well-preserved, showing only minor scuffs from use, though the rubber LimbSaver recoil pad shows some fraying and wear at the edges of the heel. The bore was not inspected but the action appears to function correctly, with the break-open mechanism operating smoothly. The optics appear clear, though the turret caps show minor finish loss on the edges.
