Description
This is an Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight pump-action shotgun chambered in 12 gauge for 2 3/4-inch shells. It features a 30-inch Roto Forged ventilated rib barrel fixed with a full choke. The barrel and receiver exhibit a blued steel finish, with the receiver decorated with stamped hunting scenes depicting a pointer dog and pheasants on the right side and ducks in flight over a marsh on the left. The furniture consists of a checkered wood stock and forend, with the buttstock fitted with a brown rubber Ithacagun recoil pad. Aiming is aided by a pink fiber optic front sight mounted to the ventilated rib. Key markings on the barrel include MODEL 37 – FEATHERLIGHT – 12 GA. – 2 3/4 CHAMBER – PROOF TESTED and ITHACA GUN CO., INC. ITHACA, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. – ROTO FORGED, with the breech area stamped FULL. The serial number 371608959 is clearly visible on the right side of the receiver. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish shows some light surface wear, minor scratches, and thinning on high-wear areas such as the receiver edges and the magazine tube consistent with field use. The wood stock and forend are in good condition with minor dings and light surface scratches, though the checkering remains well-defined. The bore appears bright and clean. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
