Description
This lot consists of two US Military M2A1 steel ammunition storage containers. Both containers feature a welded steel construction with an olive drab finish, hinged lids with internal rubber gaskets for weather resistance, and side-locking latches. One container features embossed markings on the end panel reading 07, M2A1, and S.C.F., indicating production by the Standard Container Co. The second container retains original white stenciled markings identifying the former contents as 8 FUZE MTSQ M564 from LOT AGF-6-14, with a loading date of LOADED 2-70. This date attributes the equipment to the Vietnam War era. Each can is fitted with a folding metal carry handle on the top of the lid.
Measurements: 11 x 7 x 6 inches.
Condition report:
Good vintage surplus condition. Both cans show signs of service use and long-term storage, including paint wear, surface scratches, and minor dings. Visible surface oxidation and light rust are present on the lids, hinges, and along the edges. Latch mechanisms are functional and the gaskets appear intact.
