Description
This lot consists of a collection of six revolver grip sets featuring a variety of materials and fits for different manufacturers. Included is a single Hogue Monogrip recoil-absorbing rubber stock in its original blister packaging, which bears a yellow label printed with Dan Wesson / Large Frame / ( Round Tang ). The loose sets include one pair of cream-colored synthetic faux-stag grips with a textured surface and a center screw. Two pairs of checkered wood grips are present that feature Smith and Wesson silver-colored medallions; one set is a target-style grip with an enclosed backstrap and the other is a diamond magna-style set featuring the characteristic wood diamond around the screw escutcheons. Also included is a pair of dark checkered wood grips with brass medallions featuring a stylized W logo consistent with Dan Wesson, and a pair of reddish-brown checkered wood target-style grips with smooth upper borders and no medallions. Key markings include the printed text on the Hogue packaging, the Hogue brand name, and the intertwined S and W logo on the Smith and Wesson medallions. The wood grips feature traditional checkering patterns and varying grain patterns, while the synthetic and rubber grips are designed for enhanced grip and recoil management.
Condition report:
The Hogue Monogrip remains in its original unopened blister packaging, which shows moderate shelf wear, surface grime, and significant yellowing of the plastic. The loose wood grips exhibit mild handling wear including scattered light surface scuffs, minor dings, and surface grime consistent with age and previous use. The checkering on all wood and synthetic sets remains generally sharp and well-defined. The silver-colored and brass medallions show light surface oxidation and a darkened patina. The synthetic faux-stag grips show no cracks or major damage, only light surface wear. All hardware present appears functional, though some sets may require additional mounting screws.
