Description
One AN/PVS-18A submersible night vision monocular clone featuring a matte black finish. This unit is marked with high-fidelity reproduction labels intended to mimic U.S. military specifications, including a primary plate stating Litton Electro-Optical Systems SUBMERSIBLE MONOCULAR NIGHT VISION SYSTEM AN/PVS-18A with serial number X1018 and the qualifying text Made in P.R.C. PATENTED. Additional labels include MODEL NO.: AN/PVS-18A, MFR IDENT: 27777, CONTR NO.: N00164-05-D-8554, and NSN: 5855-01-477-8738. A barcode label identifies the unit as PVS18-06X1018. The monocular is equipped with a standard dovetail mounting interface marked AN/PVS-18 and P/N 14001P01, along with a rotary control dial showing G and R positions. Accessories included are a single rubber eyecup and two tethered rubber lens covers. While the external markings suggest a military contract item, the Made in P.R.C. designation and external features identify this as a reproduction or digital clone rather than a genuine Litton-produced image intensifier.
Condition report:
