Description
This Savage Model 93R17 is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .17 H.M.R., specifically configured for precision shooting with a blued heavy target barrel and receiver. The firearm is mounted in an eye-catching red and black laminated wood thumbhole stock that includes a rubber buttpad marked Revolution and dual sling swivel studs. The receiver is fitted with two-piece Weaver-style scope mounting bases and includes one detachable box magazine. Extensive markings are present on the barrel, including SAVAGE MODEL 93R17 CAL. .17 H.M.R. ONLY and MFG. BY SAVAGE ARMS (CANADA) INC. LAKEFIELD, ONT. CANADA, along with the import mark SAVAGE ARMS, INC. WESTFIELD, MA. U.S.A. 01085. The serial number 0212758 is clearly stamped on the left side of the receiver. While the rifle is structurally sound, there is a visible hairline crack in the thumbhole grip area of the wood laminate at the rear of the opening. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on the barrel and receiver shows light handling wear with a few minor surface scratches but remains largely intact. The action appears to function correctly, although we have not function-tested this firearm. The bore was not inspected for this report. The laminated stock is in good condition with vibrant color, though it does exhibit a hairline crack in the wood laminate at the rear of the thumbhole opening. The rubber buttpad and magazine show standard signs of light use.
