Description
This lot consists of 100 rounds of Golden Tiger brand 7.62x39mm ammunition, comprised of five individual boxes containing 20 cartridges each. The ammunition is configured with 124 grain Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail (FMJBT) projectiles featuring lead cores. The cartridges utilize olive-drab lacquer-coated steel cases fitted with non-corrosive Berdan primers. A distinctive purple sealant is applied at both the case mouth and the primer pocket to enhance moisture resistance and ensure long-term storage reliability. Verbatim markings on the orange and yellow packaging include the Golden Tiger brand name and tiger head logo, along with 7.62×39 FMJBT, 124 GR, LEAD CORE, STEEL CASE, and NON-CORROSIVE. This ammunition was produced at the Vympel plant in Russia, which is widely recognized for manufacturing high-quality lacquer-sealed steel-cased cartridges specifically for the 7.62x39mm chambering.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in excellent, factory-original condition. The olive-drab lacquer coating on the steel cases is uniform and shows no evidence of rust, oxidation, or significant blemishes. The copper-jacketed projectiles remain clean and the purple sealant at the case mouths and primers is intact and undisturbed. The five cardboard boxes are in good condition, exhibiting only minor shelf wear and light corner compression while remaining structurally sound and fully legible. The ammunition appears to be live.
