Description
This is a Remington Model 11 recoil-operated semi-automatic shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. Based on the John Browning design, this shotgun features a 30-inch barrel with a fixed full choke and a single bead front sight. The blued finish on the steel receiver and barrel shows significant wear and thinning from use, transitioning to a gray-brown patina in several areas. The receiver features factory roll-engraved scenes depicting a pheasant in a field on the left and a duck in flight on the right. The furniture consists of a checkered walnut pistol grip stock and a matching forend, both exhibiting heavy wear, finish loss, and numerous handling marks. The firearm is completed with a factory Remington-branded hard rubber buttplate. Key markings include the model designation MODEL 11 on the bolt and the Remington script logo above the serial number 408362 on the right side of the receiver. The barrel is marked REMINGTON ARMS CO., INC., ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. followed by Browning patent numbers ending in 812,326, as well as 12 GA. and FULL. Additional stamps on the barrel include an anchor symbol and the date code letters R G. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish shows significant thinning and wear throughout, with many areas showing a gray-brown patina and various light surface scratches. There is evidence of very fine surface oxidation on the receiver and barrel. The checkered walnut stock and forend show heavy wear to the checkering and numerous dings, scratches, and finish loss consistent with honest field use. The hard rubber buttplate shows wear and some white residue. The action appears to function correctly when cycled manually; however, we have not function-tested this firearm.
