Description
This Armscor Model AK 47/22 is a semi-automatic rimfire rifle designed as a replica of the AK-47 platform chambered in .22 Long Rifle. The rifle features an 18.5-inch barrel fitted with a hooded front post sight and a tangent-style adjustable rear notch sight. The metal components exhibit a blued finish and the receiver is constructed from a combination of steel and alloy. The furniture consists of a smooth wood buttstock with a black plastic buttplate marked with an AP logo, a wood pistol grip, and a two-piece wood handguard. A black nylon sling is attached to the factory swivels. Prominent markings on the left side of the receiver include MODEL AK 47/22, MFTD BY ARMS CORPORATION, and PHILIPPINES, along with the serial number AP202147. The barrel is marked API-PAHRUMP NV and PHILIPPINES. The right side of the receiver bears the warning USE HIGH VELOCITY 22LR ONLY. Included with the rifle is one detachable magazine and a non-matching Mossberg International 715T shipping box. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal finish is in good condition showing approximately 90 percent of the original bluing with light surface scratches and minor handling wear on the receiver and barrel. The wood furniture is attractive and well-preserved showing scattered minor dings and surface scratches consistent with careful use. The bore is bright with distinct rifling and no signs of pitting. The action appears to function correctly and cycles smoothly by hand, though it has not been function-tested with live ammunition. The magazine and sling are in good working order.
