Description
This Savage Model 220 break-action single-shot shotgun is chambered for 12 gauge and features a 30-inch barrel equipped with a single bead front sight. The firearm is configured with a blued steel receiver and barrel, a top-tang safety, and a traditional break-lever action. The furniture consists of a smooth wood buttstock and a matching forend, with a tan rubber Pachmayr Slip-On recoil pad added to the butt for improved length of pull and comfort. Key markings on the top of the barrel are stamped Savage Arms Corporation Utica, New York, U.S.A. Model 220. Additional barrel stamps specify Proof Tested 12 Gauge over 2 3/4 Inch Chamber, with a circular 12 proof mark visible just ahead of the receiver. No serial number is visible on the exterior surfaces of the firearm. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The shotgun is in good overall condition. The blued finish on the barrel and receiver shows light thinning at the edges and a few scattered light scratches and handling marks. The bore is bright. The wood stock and forend exhibit minor surface dings and light scratches consistent with field use. The action appears to lock up tight and function as intended. The rubber slip-on recoil pad is flexible and well-seated over the original butt.
