Description
This lot features a pair of vintage leather holsters designed for semi-automatic pistols. The first item is a Safariland high-ride holster constructed from tan leather with white contrasting stitching and a dark-finished snap retention button. It features a large metal spring clip on the reverse for attachment to a belt or waistband. Verbatim markings on the reverse include a shield logo with a stag head and the word SAFARILAND above the characters 530, MONROVIA CALIF, PAT. PEND., and #7 COLT C, indicating it is sized for a Colt Government holster. The second item is a Bianchi pancake-style belt holster featuring two belt slots and white perimeter stitching on medium brown leather. The reverse is stamped BIANCHI, #4, and MEDIUM AUTO, identifying it as a Bianchi Med. Auto Holster. Both holsters show signs of use consistent with their age and are designed for right-handed draw.
Condition report:
Both holsters exhibit signs of moderate field use and age, including surface scuffs, light scratches, and general wear to the leather finish. The leather remains supple on both pieces with no visible dry rot or significant cracking. All stitching appears intact and tight. The metal spring clip on the Safariland holster shows minor finish wear but remains under strong tension. The snap button hardware functions correctly.
