Description
This lot consists of forty rounds of centerfire rifle ammunition produced by Remington as part of their Express Core-Lokt line. These cartridges are chambered in .30-40 Krag and utilize 180-grain Core-Lokt Pointed Soft Point (PSP) projectiles designed for controlled expansion and weight retention. The ammunition is housed in two original green and yellow cardboard boxes, each containing twenty rounds. The cartridges feature rimmed brass cases and are intended for use in rifles such as the Krag-Jorgensen or Winchester Model 1895. Key markings include the box labels identifying the product as Remington Express Core-Lokt 30-40 Krag 180 Gr. Core-Lokt PSP with the product code R30402. The headstamps on the brass casings are verbatim transcribed as R-P 30-40 KRAG.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in good, shootable condition with the brass cases exhibiting minimal tarnishing or oxidation. Primers are seated correctly and show no signs of corrosion. The original cardboard packaging shows moderate shelf wear consistent with age, including scuffing at the corners, edge wear, and minor tearing at the tuck-in flaps. One box shows a slightly more pronounced compression at one corner, but both remain structurally sound with all factory markings clear and legible.
