Description
This is a US military issue M2A2 steel ammunition container, constructed for the storage and transport of small arms ammunition. The can is made of heavy-gauge steel with a standard olive drab green finish. It features a hinged lid with a rubber gasket for a weather-tight seal, a top-mounted folding carry handle, and a tension-latch closure. One end of the can is embossed with three lines of text. The first line is 16, the second line is M2A2, and the third line is S.C.F. The M2A2 model is an updated version of the classic .50 caliber ammo can design. One side of the container has been marked with red and black spray paint over the original finish.

Condition report:
The item is in used military surplus condition. Visible wear includes scattered scratches, scuffs, and areas of surface rust, primarily along the seams and lid edges. A large section of one side has been spray-painted red and black. The latch and handle are in good working order.
