Description
This lot consists of two U.S. military M2A1 steel ammunition cans, also known as .50 caliber cans, finished in olive drab green paint. Both containers feature a top-loading design with a removable hinged lid, a metal tension latch, and a folding carry handle. The first can features white stenciled text on one side: N340, 8 FUZE PD M739, IN NON-PROPAGATION PACKAGE, and LOT MA-83F006-010. The lot number indicates a 1983 production date for the original contents, which were point-detonating fuzes. The bottom edge of this can is embossed with the characters S C I, identifying the manufacturer as Steel Container Inc. The second can is embossed on one side with the manufacturer code and date BFF-2006 above the model designation M2A1, indicating production in 2006.

Condition report:
Both cans are in used military surplus condition. There is evidence of significant wear throughout, including scratches, scuffs, and paint loss. Surface oxidation and rust are visible on the exterior, primarily concentrated along the bottom edges, lid hinges, and latching mechanisms. The latches and handles remain in functional condition. The interior condition has not been verified.
