Description
This Stevens Model 77D is a pump-action shotgun chambered for 12 gauge with a 2 3/4 inch chamber. It is configured with a 27-inch barrel featuring a single silver bead front sight and a blued steel finish on the barrel and receiver. The furniture includes a grooved wooden forend and a wooden buttstock terminating in a black plastic buttplate. The firearm is equipped with an under-barrel tubular magazine and a cross-bolt safety located at the rear of the trigger guard. Key markings are roll-stamped on the left side of the barrel and include Stevens Savage Arms Corporation Chicopee Falls, Mass. U.S.A. Model 77D, along with Proof Tested 12 Gauge 2 3/4 Inch Chamber. Additional markings include a circled P proof mark and small inspector stamps on the barrel near the receiver. No serial number is clearly visible in the provided images. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued steel finish shows light scratching, handling marks, and thinning, particularly along the edges of the receiver and the barrel. The wooden forend and buttstock exhibit more significant wear, including numerous surface scratches, dings, and areas of flaking finish on the buttstock. The plastic buttplate shows minor scuffs. The bore was not inspected, but the muzzle appears free of significant damage. The action cycles and appears to be in working order.
