Description
This lot consists of a collection of three gun cases intended for the transport and protection of rifles or shotguns. The grouping features one hard-sided case and two soft-sided slips. The hard-sided case is a Plano Protector Series Model 1502 constructed from black injection-molded plastic with a textured exterior, an integrated carry handle, and four plastic sliding latches. The interior is fitted with egg-crate foam padding. Verbatim markings on the exterior of the hard case read Protector SERIES Model 1502 by PLANO. The soft-sided items include a two-tone tan and black vinyl or treated canvas slip featuring leather-style carry handles and a brass-toned zipper. Verbatim markings on the muzzle end of this case include a logo depicting a gun dog and the name BOYT. The third item in the collection is a black nylon soft-sided case featuring black web carry handles and a full-length zipper. A label on the side of this case reads Pit Bull. All items in the lot show signs of field use, including surface scuffing, light staining to the tan material, and general wear to the handles and edges.
Condition report:
The Plano hard-sided case is in good condition, showing minor exterior scuffs and scratches from handling, while the interior foam remains intact and the latches function correctly. The Boyt two-tone soft case shows moderate wear, with visible scuffing and discoloration on the tan sections and wear to the synthetic leather carry handles. The Pit Bull nylon case is in generally good condition with light signs of field use. All zippers on the soft-sided cases appear to be functional.
