Description
This Marlin Model 336W is a lever-action rifle chambered in .30-30 Winchester, designed as a reliable utility firearm for field use. It features a 20-inch Micro-Groove barrel and a full-length under-barrel tubular magazine. The exterior metal components exhibit a blued finish, including the receiver, magazine tube, and barrel. The furniture consists of a checkered walnut-finished hardwood stock and forearm with a diamond-shaped checkering pattern on the grip. The rifle comes equipped with a gold-colored trigger, a cross-bolt hammer block safety, an adjustable buckhorn rear sight, and a hooded ramp front sight. The buttstock is fitted with a factory black rubber recoil pad and includes pre-installed sling swivel studs. Identifying markings on the left side of the barrel include the manufacturer information, THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN, CT., U.S.A. MODEL 336W MICRO-GROOVE BARREL CAL. 30/30 WIN., and a JM proof mark stamped near the receiver. The serial number 91013056 is located on the left side of the receiver. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The firearm appears in good condition with a largely intact blued finish showing minor areas of thinning and light surface oxidation on the receiver and barrel bands. The bore is bright with strong, crisp Micro-Groove rifling. The hardwood stock and forearm show occasional minor dings and light scratches consistent with handling and storage, but are free of cracks or significant damage. The action cycles and functions correctly through a dry-fire check, though it has not been tested for live-fire accuracy or safety. The Marlin-branded recoil pad shows typical wear at the contact points.
