Description
This lot consists of three items for shooting and reloading, including a hand outside neck turner, twenty-five rounds of 9x18mm Makarov ammunition, and a box of Winchester primers for paper shot shells. The primary component is a Forster Products Hand Outside Neck Turner, model HOT100, housed in a yellow plastic storage case. This kit includes the anodized aluminum tool body with a carbide cutter and micrometer adjustment knob, a black cylindrical handle, a pilot assembly, and instructional inserts. The label on the case identifies the manufacturer as Forster Products of Lanark, Illinois, and the model number as HOT100. The second item is a red cardboard box of Hornady Custom 9x18mm Makarov ammunition, which contains twenty-five cartridges loaded with 95 grain JHP/XTP bullets. Verbatim markings on the box include Hornady, Custom, 9×18 MAK, and 25 Cartridges, alongside handwritten price and caliber notations. The final item is a purple cardboard box of 100 Winchester Improved Primers No. 3 W, which the label states are adapted to paper shot shells using either smokeless or black powders. The primer box was manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms Co. of New Haven, Connecticut, and bears a patent date of October 1st, 1878, with additional markings of 1971 and 6-14 on the lower front corners.
Condition report:
The Forster neck turner components appear to be in good condition with minor signs of use, while the yellow plastic storage case shows significant staining and shelf wear to the external paper label. The Hornady ammunition box exhibits moderate shelf wear, including corner compression, partial plastic wrapping, and handwritten ink markings; the twenty-five cartridges appear factory-loaded and clean. The vintage Winchester primer box shows color fading, edge wear, and corner rounding consistent with age; the box is sealed and appears to contain the original primers. The ammunition and primers have not been function-tested.
