Description
This Charter Arms Off Duty is a double-action revolver chambered for the .38 Special cartridge. It is configured with a 2-inch snub-nose barrel and a five-shot swing-out cylinder with a manual knurled ejector rod. The firearm features a blued steel finish on the barrel and cylinder with a matching finish on the frame. It is fitted with smooth wood grips that incorporate silver-toned Charter Arms medallions. The sighting system consists of a fixed front ramp sight with an orange insert and a notched rear sight integrated into the top strap. Prominent markings include the caliber and model designation OFF DUTY .38 SPL. on the left side of the barrel and the manufacturer information CHARTER ARMS CORP. STRATFORD, CONN. on the right. The serial number 894328 is stamped on the right side of the frame above the trigger guard. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish shows moderate wear consistent with use, particularly at the muzzle, on the cylinder faces, and along the high edges of the frame and trigger guard. A visible drag line is present on the cylinder. The wood grips are in good condition with minor dings and handling marks. The bore and cylinder chambers appear clean. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
