Description
This Mauser Model M18 is a modern bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in .308 Winchester, designed for durability and precision in the field. The firearm features a matte black finished steel barrel and receiver, housed in a black synthetic polymer stock with textured grip surfaces and a Mauser logo inset on the buttstock. Key markings include the model designation MAUSER M18 on the right side of the receiver and the serial number LC009271 on the left side of the receiver. The barrel is marked .308 Win. and Made in Germany, followed by German proof marks including the DE country code, a stylized eagle over N, the date code BI indicating 2018 manufacture, and the antler symbol of the Ulm proof house. This rifle is equipped with a Nikon Prostaff 4-12×40 telescopic sight, model PR31 with serial number 4149163, which features a BDC reticle and is mounted on Talley rings. A set of black plastic lens covers with an elastic cord is included. The rifle is fitted with a soft-rubber Mauser branded recoil pad. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in excellent, near-new condition. The matte black finish on the barrel and receiver is exceptionally well-preserved, showing no visible thinning, scratches, or wear. The synthetic stock is in excellent condition with no notable dings or handling marks. The bore was not inspected but the exterior suggests limited use. The action appears to function correctly and smoothly, although it has not been live-fire tested. The Nikon optics are clear and the mounting system is secure.
