Description
This is a single pump-action rifle, a Remington Model 572 Fieldmaster chambered for .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle cartridges, currently offered for parts only. The rifle features a blued finish that displays significant cosmetic wear including numerous scratches, finish loss on the receiver, and surface oxidation with a dark patina along the barrel. It is configured with a smooth wood buttstock and a ribbed wood pump-action forend, both showing field wear and minor nicks. The firearm is equipped with an under-barrel tubular magazine, a front blade sight, and an adjustable rear notch sight. Key markings include the receiver side stamped Remington Fieldmaster MODEL 572 and the barrel markings REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC. ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. PATENT PENDING, Remington, MODEL 572, and the caliber 22 S., L., & L.R. Additional barrel marks include LQ4, a cross symbol, and PB70. The buttplate is a black composite material with Remington centered in a circle. Included is a brown leather sling with a decorative red and yellow diamond and arrow pattern. No serial number is clearly discernible in the provided images. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in poor overall cosmetic condition and is sold as a parts-only lot. The receiver shows extensive finish wear and deep scratches, while the barrel has developed significant surface oxidation and a textured patina. The bore has not been inspected. The wood stock and forend exhibit multiple dings, nicks, and finish thinning consistent with heavy field use. The action appears to cycle, but we have not function-tested this firearm or verified mechanical safety. The leather sling is worn but intact with clear decorative motifs.
