Description
A collection of 171 spent ammunition shell casings manufactured by Winchester. The lot is primarily composed of yellow brass casings with several nickel-plated examples mixed throughout. Visual inspection of the headstamps confirms the manufacturer as Winchester and the caliber as .40 Smith & Wesson. The casings are shown in a fired condition; many have been deprimed, exposing the empty primer pockets. The interior and exterior surfaces show evidence of the discharge process, including carbon residue and light surface oxidation.
Condition report:
Used, fired condition. The casings exhibit visible carbon fouling and residue consistent with being once-fired. Some examples show minor surface tarnishing or oxidation. A majority of the casings have been deprimed.
